The news is a great time to advertise higher prices, get everyone excited about a narrative, only to then pull the rug from underneath them, making them puke their position and allowing the informed trader to win the day. For the rest of us, waiting for all of the goings-on to finish and for a direction to be picked is the way forward. Even better, once the market structure is broken, wait for a better entry and a smaller risk profile.
