WTI battering continues, back below $68.00 as Omicron fears persist

WTI prices have been under heavy selling pressure in recent trade, sliding from around $77.00 to current levels under $68.00 since last Thursday. Fears about the vaccine-resistance, transmissibility and severity of illness associated with the new Omicron Covid-19 variant are the driver of recent negative flows.
