For the record, Germany will release its CPI report this week.<\/p><p>More pain in Europe as the French <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3c87cc0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAC<\/a> finished down by -0.5%, while the Italy MIB closed -1.0%. In terms outperformance <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3O2ESFj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spain\u2019s IBEX<\/a> gained +1.0%, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3aXPCqN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FTSE100<\/a> eked out a 0.1% gain.<\/p><p>In the United States the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3N3cW3M\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nasdaq<\/a> is the biggest loser, following news that Micron issued a revenue warning. Micron is seen as a bellwether company the tech sector.<\/p><p>Subsequently, the bears revenue news from Micron dragged down chip related stocks as Micron is a massive player in the laptop and electronics space.<\/p><p>Salesforce was another company that released weaker results. Salesforce was the biggest losing stock on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3tCIuXl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a>. Nike and Home Depot also weighed on the DJIA.<\/p><p>It should also be noted that US Productivity and Labour Cost data was released today, and the outcome of the release further increased the notion of more aggressive Fed action.<\/p><p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2YAQOVh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">euro currency<\/a> was one of the strongest currencies against the US dollar today as the pair started to become comfortable above the 1.0200 level.<\/p><p>Worryingly, the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2Zn4HaM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">British pound<\/a> took a hit after a report circulated that the UK has drawn up plans for potential power cuts to homes and industries in January.<\/p><p>The report stated it&#8217;s the &#8216;worst case scenario&#8217; that officials are planning for. Naturally, the news sent the GBPUSD pair reeling under the 1.2100 level and the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2Lg9zs6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EURGBP <\/a>pair higher.<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2ZsFzPL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gold<\/a> is having a strong session and is knocking on the door of $1,800. Notably, the yellow metal has been outperforming <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/319C7df\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">silver<\/a> prices today as silver bugs book some profit.<\/p><p>The yellow metal has an interesting technical set-up.
